The Difference in a Good and a Great Website

A website isn’t just about being found by customers. It’s about getting those customers to spend money with you again and again. You do that by using your website to build a relationship with them so that when they’re ready to buy what you sell, you’re the first on their list.

The Recipe for a Great Website

A good website does help your customers find you. But does it keep them coming back? Once you Google a business and find their website (and their physical location), how often do you go back to that business’ website? If you’re like most people, never. There’s no reason to. You know where they are and the content on the website hasn’t changed, so why go back if there’s nothing new to see?  You would never know if this business had clearance sales or new inventory without getting in your car and driving to their store.

A great website not only gets them through the door, it keeps them coming back. By using relevant content, social media and newsletter sign ups, it helps you stay in touch with those customers so they’ll come back to buy from you again and again.

I only build great websites.

They do, however, require frequent software updates and regular maintenance. Whether you have the time to update the website yourself or you’d rather pay me to do it, I have a package that meets your needs. This website is built on WordPress.

Big Commerce Websites

Big Commerce websites are all e-commerce sites. These websites are for businesses that have more than 50 items to sell and need an integrated solution that includes inventory tracking, shipping management and sales tracking. Big Commerce stores can work with ebay stores, facebook stores and google shopping. Big Commerce is different from SquareSpace in that you can upload an unlimited number of items at one time via a spreadsheet whereas with SquareSpace, you have to enter each item separately. Big Commerce also can be setup to tie into a Facebook store or Google Shopping. That can’t be done with SquareSpace. Here is an example of a Big Commerce store.

Setting up an e commerce store through Big Commerce is labor intensive. Please contact me for a price quote.

Big Commerce also charges monthly fees, depending on the features you want, which you can find here.
